June 22, 2009 — The Capitol: “Domestic Workers Bill of Rights Another Victim of Work Stoppage”

This was supposed to be a breakthrough year for the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights. The legislation had languished in the Assembly since 2004, but finally found Sen. Diane Savino (D-Staten Island/Brooklyn) to sponsor it after the Democratic takeover in the upper chamber in January.
